FIRST STEP: GRIBNER SELECTION PROCESS:

We encourage people to apply early! Class size is limited to TEN! (2 groups of 5)
This workshop is often full before the deadline.
 
Final Gribner application deadline: April 15, 2010.

Applicants should submit the following directly to Sue Ribner and Ron Grant at

info@Gribner.com


1) 15 pages from the manuscript they plan to workshop
     
2) A short, one-paragraph biography, including experience with writing classes and workshops.
     
3) A short, one-paragraph description of their writing project
 
4) A cover letter that includes their contact information: name, address, phone, e-address.
5) How many pages they have completed at this point and how many pages they expect to have

by June 1, 2010 when manuscripts are emailed out to participants.

Minimum number acceptable by the June 1, 2010 deadline for mailing: 80 pages.
 


SECOND STEP: PRAGUE SUMMER PROGRAM APPLICATION & FEES:

After notification of acceptance into the Gribner Workshop, the applicant must then
sign up through the Prague Summer Program (PSP) online application system at
www.praguesummer.com

Prague Summer Program Application Deadline-- May 1, 2010

Payment in Full Deadline-- May 15, 2010


Participants in the workshop will pay the Prague Summer Program’s two-week, one-course enrollment rate of $2,250*, and are eligible for John Woods Scholarships as well as the Eda Kriseova Fellowship in Nonfiction. Deadline to apply for scholarships and the fellowship is Feb.15, 2010) but not academic credit. For information on scholarships, see the PSP site.

*This fee includes all the benefits and offerings of the Prague Summer Program, including the Monday night Czech movie series, Tuesday morning Lecture Series, evening readings by PSP’s prestigious faculty, walking tours, day trips to Czech cities of historical significance and beauty outside of Prague, and a public transportation pass good for all modes of transport in Prague for the duration of your enrollment. A Czech language course and optional weekend excursions are offered at additional cost. Participants may reserve dorm housing also at additional cost.
